At the Do Something Awards on Sunday, Nick Cannon gave his response to the recent addition his wife, Mariah Carey, to the American Idol judges' table, and also gave his take on the current happenings of his show, America's Got Talent.




"I think it's awesome," Cannon said of his wife signing onto American Idol. "I feel like she's probably one of the greatest living singers and entertainers of our time, and for people to actually have that connection, to see a different side to her, it's going to be outstanding."

Not to be outdone, the media mogul recently announced his plans to take on announcing duties for the highly anticipated Andre Ward vs. Chad Dawson World Championship showdown. Set to take place September 8 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California and televised live on HBO® World Championship Boxing at 9:45p.m. ET/PT.




“As a huge fight fan and follower of the sport, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be the ring announcer and introduce these two incredible fighters to the fans at Oracle Arena and everyone watching LIVE at home on HBO,” said Cannon. “It’s going to be an unforgettable event.”
