Style and professionalism are two attributes Prostyle has pushed to excel in today’s music business. Born in Queens, NY Prostyle's been making his mark along the musical path from an early age. Raised in a family with a passion for music, Prostyle moved to Orlando, Florida at 13 years old where he began to build his DJ skills. After several mixtapes, parties and events, Prostyle developed a loyal fan base which landed him a mix show on a college radio station at the age of 16. With his loyal following, Prostyle started to DJ at all the hottest clubs, events and concerts on the Orlando scene. After graduating high school, the 18-year old Prostyle wasted no time landing a mainstream radio mix show job at the location radio station 102 Jamz. Shortly thereafter, Prostyle had the #1 mix show in Orlando at the 5pm prime-time slot.
At 20 years old, Prostyle was ready to kick it up a notch and expand his visibility to the television audience. He was given the opportunity to be a guest DJ on BET's Rap City; and after several appearances on the show, Prostyle cultivated a great relationship with the executives at BET. Prostyle was then invited to be a guest DJ/host at BET's Spring Bling. With his Latin flair, unmatched skills on the turntables, and years DJing/hosting Spring Bling, Prostyle advanced his repertoire by becoming a guest DJ on the most watched music television show in the country, BET's 106 & Park. Prostyle quickly became the official DJ and unofficial third host for 106 & Park every Wednesday and Friday.
Against all odds a new DJ faces in the world’s largest media market, Prostyle moved back to New York for two years taking over the club scene and further connecting with a large Latin audience through his own show on La Kalle 105.9 in the 9pm to 11pm slot Monday through Friday.
With his burgeoning success, Prostyle was given a call to return to Orlando for the opportunity to host his own night time radio show on the market’s #1 Hip-hop/R&B station, Power 95.3. Prostyle quickly dominated the slot setting ratings records in the market. After nearly three years of straight #1 ratings, Prostyle received another call to return to NYC and become a member of New York's #1 Hip-hop/R&B station, Power 105.1, where he can be heard weekdays from 2pm to 6pm.
Prostyle continues to set trends and break boundaries. His show now has one of the highest rated shows in New York and recently landed the #8 spot on The Source Magazine’s Power 30 list. Prostyle continues his propensity for co-hosting by annually DJing one of the biggest music events each year, the iHeart Radio Music Festival, as well as the other major iHeart/Clear Channel events. In addition, Prostyle has recently been confirmed as the official DJ for ABC’s Good Morning America where he can be found spinning every other Friday. From radio to TV to major events, Prostyle remains booked every night of the week with a strong work ethic while keeping his brand strong and growing. Ever-connected with his fans and supporters, Prostyle currently has over 1 million followers on Twitter, over 165 thousand followers on Instagram, and thousands more on Facebook.
Prostyle recently signed to Warner Bros. Records where he is working with some of today’s biggest artists such as Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Chris Brown, Flo Ride, Ciara, Wale, Ne-Yo, Daddy Yankee, Jason Derulo, Jeremih, Diddy and more to create an album that will bring the party directly to fans’ speakers with a variety of music.
