Havana Brown surprised fans by dropping new single “Whatever We Want” seemingly out of nowhere this week. It’s unclear if the club anthem is intended for a re-release of debut LP Flashing Lights or her forthcoming sophomore set but there’s no confusion about its quality. This is the Australian dance diva’s best single since breakthrough hit “We Run The Night”.




What makes the EDM monster so appealing? Well, for starters, it sounds like a cross between Icona Pop‘s “I Love It” and anything Luciana has released over the last five years (I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a writing credit). Oh and it samples/pays homage to Basement Jaxx‘s classic 2001 single “Where’s Your Head At?” with the sinister breakdown. Listen to Havana’s latest after the jump.
