Grammy award-winning hit-maker Dallas Austin, whose creativity and innovative style have consistently shaped the sound of today's Pop and R&B music worldwide since the early 90s. Austin has produced more than 50 hit singles which have debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 list with 17 songs spending numerous weeks in the Top 10 list. He has had multiple Billboard number one hits.
As a cutting edge entrepreneur, Austin has positioned himself as one of the industry's top creative executives and business mavens, building an empire that encompasses a production company, a recording studio, a record company, a film company, a merchandising and marketing company, and three publishing companies.
Among his many awards and accolades Austin will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame June 13, 2019. He will join the ranks of his peers and mentors, Jam & Lewis, LA Reid & Babyface and Jermaine Dupri. Most recently, he was Honored at the 57th Annual Equal Opportunity Day Dinner with the Urban League of Atlanta. Austin was also honored this past August at the 2018 Black Music Honors. He received a Grammy for Best R&B Album at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards. The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS) honored him during its’ 3rd annual Heroes Awards in Atlanta, GA in 2005. Later that year he received the Beacon Award from the Independent Media Artists of Georgia, Etc. (IMAGE) for his contribution to film during the Fourth Annual Awards ceremony. In 2006, Dallas was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame for his contribution to the music industry and was honored as one of Atlanta’s most influential in 2011.
Austin has added disc jockey to his resume and has been spinning and treating fans to his music at tastemaker events across the country performing for a variety of clients at a number of venues in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami and Europe. He has worked with and created numerous hits with iconic artists such as TLC, Boys II Men, Madonna, Pink, Natalie Cole, Lionel Richie, Gwen Stefano and Monica and has collaborated with acts such as Michael Jackson, Will.I.Am and Sia. Under his repertoire, Dallas Austin has produced two theatrical releases based on his life, the films DRUMLINE and ATL.
Most Recently, Austin can be found spending time, further developing his clothing line, The Rowdy Collection, writing and recording, having worked with Cedric Gervais for Touch the Sky, Morten Norgaard, winner of the Danish X-Factor (Austin appeared on the show and produced EP) and Remy Ma f/Chris Brown on Melanin Magic, which reached top 20 at Urban Radio and most recently penned songs for Epic Records, Kodi Shane, Longtime and Hitco recording artist Klondike Blonde, No Smoke.
